Come join world-class photographer Mimo Meidany and me for a remarkable travel photography learning experience in one of Eastern Europe’s most photogenic cities.

Located along the beautiful Danube River, Budapest, the capital city of Hungary, is an old-world wonder filled with cultural and architectural wonders, a rich history (stretching back to Roman times), and amazing food! It’s a photographer’s paradise with another great shot around every corner, from its iconic Parliament Building (seen above) to the stunning Buda Castle, the architecture of the Fisherman's Bastion, along with amazing cathedrals, charming cobblestone streets lined with shops and cafes, a stunning opera house, and so much more.

Conde Nast Traveler named Budapest one of the “Best Places to Go in Europe in 2024” and said, “Renowned for its architecture, the Hungarian capital is home to everything from art nouveau and neoclassical to gothic and baroque, with the Blue Danube connecting it all like a ribbon.” There’s so much to see and capture for photographers – it truly is a gem!

Seven Reasons Why Budapest Has Become One Of The World’s Leading Travel Destinations:

Budapest’s unique charm offers photographic (and gastronomic) opportunities galore!

  1. The food! Hungarian food is absolutely delicious, and Budapest is famous for, of course, its Hungarian Glolash (our favorite is when it’s served in a freshly baked bread bowl).

  2. There’s so much to photograph in this scenic wonder located right along the winding Danube River. It has many famous landmarks, fountains, monuments, museums, and historic treasures, including its stunning Parlament Building situated right along the Danube. It’s amazing inside and out (and beautifully lit at night).

  3. WhereToStay.com listed Budapest as one of the top 15 safest cities in Europe.

  4. The weather in Budapest is nice and warm during summer, and a bit cold in winter, but is especially ideal at the time of year we’re going.

  5. You can extend your stay and visit nearby Vienna, Austria, which is just down the Danube River (there are ferries and boats daily).

  6. Budapest is so affordable. Much like Lisbon or Prague, the prices for pretty much everything here are a bargain compared to most other places in Europe. From sumptuous meals to drinks or gifts, it’s a bargain shopper’s paradise.
